Capturing stillness

in a wild world

How it started.

In 2012, work took me to Malawi, the 'Warm Heart of Africa,' nestled in southeastern Africa.

The moment I saw the country’s untamed beauty, I knew I had to capture it—through my own eyes and lens.

That trip marked the start of my photography journey. I got my first proper digital camera and began capturing breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. It was also where my fascination with a particular kind of wildlife began: birds!

What then?

Malawi was just the beginning—it didn’t end there. I started taking my camera everywhere I went, waking up early for sunrises, checking the weather for the perfect sunsets, and spending hours in bird hides to capture the beauty of all kinds of birds.

Over the years, I’ve amassed thousands of photos, but there was always something missing. I didn’t have a platform to truly share them. I had always planned to build a website, but life got in the way… until now!

My Vision

I want to share my work—and, more importantly, my experiences—with the world. My goal is to inspire awe in the beauty our world holds and offer a moment of calm. I hope people can take a break from their busy lives, find inspiration, and reconnect with nature’s serenity.

This website is all about that: pressing pause, stepping back, and taking it all in.

About me…

I’m a hobby photographer originally from Lisbon, Portugal, now living just outside London, UK. But that’s just part of who I am…

I’m also a Software Engineer, and when I’m not working or capturing photos, I love to dive into my other hobbies: cooking, playing guitar, tennis, surfing, and traveling. I’m also lucky enough to explore the world with my wife and our two dogs, Luna and Nala.

Luna & Nala.

This website is, in part, a tribute to Luna and Nala. They remind me to live in the moment, to explore, and to simply take it all in. Their spirit inspired the colors, logo, and philosophy behind this website
